Apparently, I am no longer satisfied being unattached. I’m at that point where I want some kind of companionship.

I don’t know why I’m stressing out so much on emotional baggage. What is going on with me? I miss being content. I miss being perfectly satisfied with what I had. I miss being perfectly happy with myself.

I don’t want to care so much. I am making a big deal out of everything.

I really do love Katy Perry. I can’t remember loving so many songs from an album since Britney Spears in the early 2000′s. That’s a long time ago.

2. What was the last item you ate? An orange, a bag of chips, and juice.

5. How many tabs or windows open in your internet browser? Too many tabs to count, but I will only have one window open.
6. What have you been pushing back on your to-do list? This internship test. Which, incidentally, I was in the middle of doing. Until I remembered about this post.
7. What do you hear right now? The buzz of my refrigerator.
8. If you had one day off, what would you do? Right now, I’d probably go home just to eat.
9. What’s a bad habit you have? Um, not cleaning my room when I know I should?
10. Most played song in your iTunes, and if you aren’t into music, what is the most recent book you read? LOL Of course I’m choosing the book option. I just finished reading Y.S. Lee’s The Traitor in the Tunnel which I absolutely loved.
11. Anything you regret at the moment, if yes what is it? Nah.

I clearly suck at following rules. This is all you’re getting from me.

Spontaneity is key to a great night. Tasha, Anne, Alex, Gina, & I went to a party in Williamsburg last night with really minimal details. It was at Acme in Brooklyn which is essentially an old warehouse turned studio and event space. We had no idea who was going to be there, what it was all about (other than the fact that I found out about it via @fuerzabrutanyc). We literally got the tickets 2 minutes before the sale closed.

What made this party different? It was definitely the people. Everyone was just so focused on having fun. No sleazy guys. Snowcones with a shot of rum. The cast of Fuerza Bruta. The really awesome DJs. The actual event space.

It’s kind of hard to go back to college parties after a night like that.

(It was only after we got back home and I was surfing the Internet that I found out that it was really a 4th anniversary celebration of Fuerza Bruta.)

1. Peanut Butter & Co – I love their white chocolate peanut butter and I’ve been wanting to check out their sandwich shop ever since I stumbled across it two years ago or so. Long time.
2. Doughnut Plant – I’ve only been there once, and their doughnuts are to die for. Inconvenient that it’s in the Lower East Side.
3. Totto Ramen – Talking about noodles and ramen made me crave some miso ramen. I went there over the summer and I couldn’t get over how good it was. Must. Go. Back.
4. Alice’s Tea Cup – I need a scones benedict. That is all.

The festival was supposed to start at six. But it was literally pouring outside. The walk from the L-train was very wet, but the closer we got to the event, the rain waned. Very few of the exhibits were set up when we got there so after a quick browse of the area (and a lot of silly pictures) we went for some tea and cookies at a nearby bakery, Cookie Road.

Maybe half an hour later, it was fully dark outside and the festival was in full swing.

Though I procrastinated all weekend long, I don’t really regret it. We did some awesome things this five-day weekend:

1. N for Nepalese – except the restaurant was really Tibetan. This was fun even if we had a really large group that made it impossible to talk to another person at the other end of the table. This was also a highlight since it meant milk bar for dessert.
2. Free USG Party at District 36 - The DJ was crap. And there are probably some parts of that night that I want to permanently erase from memory. But pregaming that night was just so crazy. Scrambling to find an open liquor store on a Wednesday night, only to fail. Giving in and reluctantly buying three giant bottles of Corona. … Only to sit on a stoop half a block away from the club.
3. Girls’ Tea Time – While I love hanging out with the boys, there’s nothing like meeting up with just the girls and having tea at a cute restaurant.
4. Dinner with Alex – and Heidi and Alby. I don’t think I’ve ever eaten so much at a dining hall. I feel a bit disgusting now that I think about how much food I consumed that night. But I couldn’t help it!

This has felt like a never-ending weekend. Too bad that it has to end with me scrambling to finish my homework. On the bright side, it’s another five-day weekend for me next week!

Well it seems that the band Aqua has reinvented themselves. I didn’t know that they were back in the music scene… Well, to be really honest, I don’t really listen to their stuff other than Barbie Girl and Dr. Jones. I don’t even know if they made any music after that album. But this ad campaign that I found on the Fashionisto caught my eye. They’re going on a world tour? Wow, that’s news to me. I love the post-apocalyptic look. Reminds me of YA books. Hah.

I may actually look up their music now…

I was totally looking forward to this weekend because it really was the first time that all of us as a group went out. I had high expectations for just about everything.

I think the ultimate sign that things just weren’t supposed to be is my wish necklace. I was feeling so optimistic that night that I scribbled a wish and tucked it inside the little metal egg I wear around my neck. Funny how minutes after That Moment That Will Be Repressed, I reached for my necklace only to find the egg hanging open.

My wish was lost somewhere between my room and the dance floor. Guess that wish isn’t coming true after all.

It only took twenty-five minutes for me to be in a great mood. I was already resigned to a week of no communication. You must be psychic. Or maybe I just have really awesome friends who know how to stall you. Hah.

It sounds super gross, but I don’t think sweat looked any hotter on anyone else. Just saying.

My weekend plans just keep getting better and better.
