Well this was such a busy weekend. On top of the studying that I’m trying to accomplish for next week’s finals, Moz was over this weekend. I haven’t seen her in a few months because of school and all so it was a lot of fun.

The first event we tackled was the McQueen for a Night event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. My friends and I were all expecting the Met to be closed down for the college group specifically, but that didn’t happen. Dressing up eccentrically was a lot of fun even if we got a lot of odd looks on the way there. I really love playing dress up and putting on an obscene amount of make-up. There were loads of people there for the Met event and it really could have been more enjoyable if there were less people. Oh well.

The highlight of the night would have to be the Digital Photobooth that they set up. Of course we all took a bunch of silly pictures!

After hearing about the truck from the Vendys, I was so excited to have spotted the truck near Union Square today after having lunch with Kimmy. I haven’t had a chance up until today to try Kelvin Natural Slush Co.

I ended up getting a medium special: Arnold Palmer (1/2 citrus & 1/2 tea slush) with a strawberry mix-in. The citrus is a bit too tart for my liking, but it balanced out quite well with the sweetness of the tea and strawberry. Verdict? Yum. It’s a bit pricey at $4, but this drink would definitely be worth it on a bright, hot summer day.

B is for Belgian at the Wafels and Dinges truck on 8th St between 3rd and 4th Ave. Michael and I both had de Throwdown Wafel which is a waffle with spekuloos spread and whipped cream. Yum! However, Arthur and Eric were not satisfied so we are going to do another B this week: B for Bosnian.
